Joan Dvorak and Debbie Carney have helped my son, Aaron Cook tremendously. Aaron struggles with organizational skills and staying on task. He also has a slow thought process. With the help of these ladies he is doing great academically

Joan has been tutoring Aaron for two years. Her patience and kindness have given Aaron the confidence he needs to succeed. She has taught Aaron how to take notes and how to study for test. She has also helped him with staying on task. Joan has stressed to Aaron the importance of using a Day Planner, so he does not fall behind. If there is an issue of concern she is right on it. I cannot thank her enough for all she has done for my son. I am so blessed that she has some into our life.

Debbie has also helped Aaron a great deal. She was able to help him with his organizational skills. Through her testing techniques she was able to evaluate his strong and weak areas of organization. She discovered that by using special binders and folders and color coding these items Aaron is able to stay organized. This has help him so much. I can truly see by looking at his work that these organizational skills have benefited him. Debbie did a wonderful job getting him set up with the supplies he needed and to this day she still follows up with him making sure he is organized.

Aaron and I are so thankful for the support and all the hard work that Joan and Debbie have given us. And because of their kind efforts Aaron is great.

My son, Gabe has Traumatic Brain Injuries resulting from treatment for a malignant brain tumor from nearly ten years ago. He has been working with Joan Dvorak for the last six years and is now a senior in high school. Joan Dvorak has been an invaluable support, teacher and friend to our family as we have negotiated the whole new world of having two boys with learning disabilities. Four years ago, our then seven year old son was diagnosed with auditory dyslexia and A.D.D. My husband and I were overwhelmed with worry and felt helpless as to where to turn to get our son the help that he needed to be successful in school and life. Joan became our mentor and guided us as we worked with the school to set up the appropriate accommodations for him. She developed a tutoring plan specifically for him that the school L.D. tutor used as her foundation when working with him. Additionally, Joan tutored our son twice a week for two years and helped him to “retrain his brain” so that he now reads at grade level. Writing and spelling will always be difficult for him, but we are so thankful that because of Joan’s guidance and help, our son can now successfully read. Our son still works with Joan in the summer and we still rely on her for guidance when issues come up at school such as a recent problem with his lack of organization. Once again, Joan attended the meeting at school and provided a solution that included the use of a new folder system for him in conjunction with a change in his A.D.D. medicine.

We recently engaged the services of Debbie Carney to assist us in getting our basement under control of its unorganized boxes from when we moved. To our pleasant surprise in a matter of three weeks were not only able to organize and sort all of our stored belongings, but she developed a whole organizational system that we can now self maintain and keep fully accessible with all of our items labeled, packed properly in boxes or storage containers on an entire shelving system that is easy to use and looks great. Because of Debbie’s unique talents we have reclaimed our basement and now have amplitude of space as to where we could barely maneuver ourselves between the boxes before. Everything is up on the shelves and can be easily identified, no more rooting though the mess to find something. Debbie has the self m otivating ability to stay focused on the project and achieve significant results.

This has been a life changing experience because now we no longer have the burden or stress of dealing with the mayhem beneath us in the basement of our home. It has become a clean, open, and orderly environment.

I met Debbie in August of 1992, when she was working in my neighbor's home office. When I discovered that she also offered residential organizing services, I asked her to come over to my home to look at some projects that needed to be addressed. Having recently lost both my mother and brother, I had inherited both estates and with two children and recent leg surgery, I was overwhelmed with the enormous task ahead of me. Between the two of us, we were able to get through it, and subsequently, I hired her to do a complete home reorganization. From there, we set up a home office, where Debbie designed and implemented an extensive filing system, set us up on Quicken, and also on-line banking. For the last 13 years, and to this day, Debbie maintains our filing systems, performs various secretarial services, and pays our bills via on-line banking on a bi-weekly basis. Over the years, Debbie has become like part of the family. She is enthusiastic, talented, and very loyal. I highly recommend her services!
